Current News:

12/14/23

Hello there, Friends!

It was so wonderful to see so many old and new friends at this year's Christmas Market at the Italian American Cultural Center, this evening. For those of you that purchased The Fathers' Sins and Temptation to Sin, I pray this story blesses you and encourages you in these dark times. It was certainly a pleasure and a privilege for me to see everyone and personally sign your books. I look forward to hearing from you with your thoughts and comments.

I would like to share some great news! Please look for the release of book 3, Forgiven Sins, in 2024. All three books will be available on Amazon!

Once again, thank you so much for your patronage and support!

Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year to you all!

Christ's Love,

Adriana

Friends,

It's been a tough couple of years. My well needed break took much longer than I ever thought it might. Yet, here we are, having faced nearly two of the longest and grueling years of our lives and it's still not over. Between quarantining, mask mandates, vaccine mandates, not to mention the death of both my mom and my dad, it goes without saying that I am ready to get passed this ugliness.

Unfortunately, I have more bad news. Shortly after taking my "break", Dog Ear Publishing, my publishing company, decided to close its doors. This was all done unawares to their authors. Because I was taking a break, I didn't notice until this passed summer (when a reader wanted to purchase a book) that my website with the publishing company, was no longer available. I called for weeks to get an answer from Dog Ear, to no avail.

Finally, after contacting the BBB, I got my answer. Dog Ear Publishing is no more, and with their closure, came the loss of all my publicizing abilities. I have tried to get my publication files returned to me without success. Now, I have but few options; to either self-publish again, or pitch to literary agents and/or publishing companies. I have decided on the latter.

So, for now, if you are seeking a copy of either of my two novels, please email me and I will be happy to ship your copies to you. Thankfully, I do have plenty of both hardcover and paperback of both novels in stock.

Once again, I thank you for your support!

Yours truly,

Adriana

Hello there my friends.

It certainly has been a while. But, I decided this past fall and winter to take a well needed break. I appreciate the support of so many of you who have encouraged me to get Book #3 published. I am soon to begin the works on that.

I pray you are well, and again, I thank you for encouraging me to continue writing.

God bless, Adriana

A Big Thank You...

Hello Readers and Fans,

I would like to take a moment to thank all of you, from the bottom of my heart, for all the support and love you have given me since the first release of, "The Fathers' Sins". Thanks to you, and your encouragement, I was successful enough to get, "Temptation to Sin", published and on the shelves as well.

This past Craft Show season, was also a success in getting over 250 copies of Book 2 and an additional 100 copies of Book 1, into the hands of readers all over the Macomb County area. Nevertheless, I still need your help. If you have read and enjoyed either, "The Fathers' Sins" or "Temptation to Sin", I ask that you might share with your families and friends. Get them to this website, that they may be able to find out more about the books.

In the meantime, I will be taking a short break to recoup, but plan on getting back to business in early Spring. I will post information about future signing and upcoming events then.

Once again, Thank YOU!

Most Sincerely,

Adriana Parrinello

The Greatest Gift didn't come in a box wrapped with a bow,

nor through the mail from the best department store,

or even from a Saint to children everywhere.

The Greatest Gift came from above,

wrapped in swaddling clothes,

and He gave a gift that has no measure.

IT'S HERE!!

Friends and Family, I am happy to announce . . .

"The Fathers' Sins" has at long last, been released!

What an amazing job done by Dog Ear Publishing. They were wonderful to work with and they certainly helped to make my dream become a reality. So hats off to Dog Ear!

But, honestly, there are so many people who have helped to bring this to fruition. If it weren't for my husband, Matteo's patience and support, this wouldn't be happening. Of course, I have to include my children who have also supported my dream. They are amazing promoters, I might add!

A shout out to all my extended family members and dear friends, who read the book while in it's first stages and still encouraged me to keep writing. Thanks, Gang!! You know who you are.

A special thanks to my awesome and talented editor, Marcy Mangino! You're amazing, Marcy!

And finally, but certainly not least . . . in fact, He's the real drive behind all of this . . .

Thank you, Lord Jesus! This is all about You!

 March 20th, 2014

Happy Spring!

It's coming!!

After tedious, hard work, from both my editor, Marcy Mangino, and myself . . . it is finished! At last, 'The Fathers' Sins' has finally been submitted. By the end of June, I should be hold my first novel in my hands! Yay! When it is available for purchase, I will let you know! Thanks, for your support!! God Bless!

Making a dream a reality!

I really can't believe it, but it's finally going to happen!  After years of preparation.  Hours of writing and rewriting, editing and rewriting again . . . 'The Fathers' Sins' is going to be available in book form, for Kindle, and e-books in early 2014!

So much time and effort have gone into this first book, from the time I started it, 27 years ago. The story has evolved and is, at last, ready for publishing!

Get ready for a twisted tale!

Looking for a tale that will keep you reading and wanting more? Does mystery and suspense, with a mix of romance and love, grasp your attention? What about something that will challenge you to have a deeper relationship with God?

Coming soon to a bookstore near you . . . or right in your own home, via the internet . . .

 July 9th, 2013

Well, it's official! I've finally finished the third book in my series. "Forgiven Sins" has been completed with a bang! I'm so excited! Although it took me a while, with all of life's distractions, I'm happy to say that getting back into my writing has not only made me happier than I've been in a while, but is motivating me again to get on the ball with my writing.

Since my last news flash, so much has been happening. My in-laws are both now permanent residents in the same nursing home. I'm happy to say that they are well taken care of, but it is so hard seeing them both slowly declining and becoming a shell of what they used to be. I pray for God to give them peace and to not let them suffer.

As for my family, all is well. My children continue to prosper and do well in school and sports. I couldn't be more proud of them. I also pray for them, that God continues to keep them on the straight path.

Finally, just a  quick news flash; I did move on and got a new job at a different State Farm agency. I continue to sell and service insurance, only I am working more hours which does make writing a bit more challenging.

Still, I hope that I can stay motivated and work hard at beginning the next book in the series. 'Conspiracy to Sin' is the prologue to the others. It will tell the story of Laura's Nonno (grandpa) and how he comes to power. I'm excited to see how the story will pan out.

Until next time, thanks for checking in on occasion. God bless!!

October 9th, 2012

Happy Fall Ya'll!

Here we are again, another year nearly gone. Where does the time go? Our summer sure flew passed us. After the last news update, my family threw me a surprise 40th birthday. What an awesome way to end an incredible summer. Before we had a chance to turn around, school was here and with it came not only studies for my children, but studying for me. After two years of working at my part-time job, my boss asked me to take the state property and casualty test so I could be a licensed insurance sales person. After two grueling weeks of study and a few more gray hairs, I not only passed the licensing course, but the state exam. Yay! Of course, I take zero credit for passing. I prayed like a priest for God to help me and He did! Praise Jesus!

Now just as the month was coming to a close and all was perfect for me to concentrate on my writing, my live-in father-in-law took a tumble at my house. Yes! It happened again. I can't tell you how horrifying it was to find him sprawled out of the bathroom floor with a gash in his head that needed 12 stitches. He was rushed to the hospital and stayed there for a week. Now, he is in the nursing home with my mother-in-law getting physical therapy since he's gotten so weak. Lord, be with them both. What a bittersweet year this has been. I pray that we get through the rest of this year with no more incidents.

Meanwhile, I am a few short chapters away from finishing 'Forgiven Sins'. I can then have it edited and I will be ready and somewhat prepared to go to the next conference. Provided all goes well, I can pitch my novels to four editors of different publishing companies. If Jesus can help me pass the hardest test of my life, He'll surely give me the courage to pitch my books to these editors. Your prayers can certainly help! :) Thank you again, for always supporting me and checking in from time to time. Have a blessed Fall!

In Christ, Adriana

News Flash....the final chapters of 'Forgiven Sins' are almost complete. It's been a little rough trying to create the finale the book deserves...what with all the distractions of this summer. My family and I have had one of the best summers ever. Especially, considering the start to the new year was a bit rocky. Between out-of-town guests, trips up to the cottage with friends and family members with their new boats--we've barely been home.

Yet, my mind is always at work. God finally gave me what I was looking for to complete my third novel. I don't remember having writers block quite this long a period. Finally, He gave me the grace to break through.

Since I wasn't able to complete #3 before the June Conference, I've postponed it possibly to next June. I've got plenty of time to prepare. Wish me luck...

Have a blessed rest of the summer--Adri

February 15, 2012

Hello!

Hope this news block finds you well. Once again, thank you for checking into my website on occasion. I wish I could say that all is well with me and that I could report that 'Forgiven Sins' is completed. But as usual my writing career has come to a screeching halt. Apparently, God has a different plan for my life right now and I accept His Holy will. Last month, my mother-in-law took a devastatingly serious fall. She is in bad shape. She fractured the first vertebrae in her neck, broke her right humerus, and then fractured it right up her arm. The blow she took to her head that fractured her vertebrae even broke her nose.

Finding her in my home in this horrid condition has been one of the (if not the . . .) worst experiences of my life. I am totally focused on her at this time. I couldn't sit down to write if I tried. Although, I must admit, I can't wait to find some me time and finish it. I'm sooo close! :(

So, I guess that I ask for nothing more than prayers for my mother-in-law Josie. She could sure use them.

God's blessings always, Adriana

Merry Christmas!

Yes, it's that time of year again! The hustle and the bustle of the Holiday Season is back to send us all into a frenzy to prepare for the celebration of the birth of Jesus! Believe it or not, despite the craziness of it all, this is my favorite time of the year. And I look forward to spending it with family and loved ones.

Since my last news flash, so much has happened. I have been consistently working on Forgiven Sins and to my surprise, I am almost done. I have but a handful of chapters left to write. Thanks to God, the story has come together so well. In fact, I'm even contemplating starting a new series as a spin off of 'Forgiven Sins'.

I'm so excited. Idea's just keep coming and I can't write them down fast enough. Although, the new series will have to wait. I have two more books to complete from the 'Sin Series'. The next one, 'Conspiracy to Sin', will take us back to the Sicily of old, when Nino Valente first comes to power. This may be the best book yet!

Meanwhile, my dear friend, Candace is editing 'Temptation to Sin'. One more step closer, to preparing for this coming June's Pitching Conference.  Yippee!

Wishing you the Merriest Christmas and God's greatest blessings.

Ho Ho Ho!

 August 8th, 2011

 Hello again,

Great News! After much encouragement from family members and friends, and a gentle word from God, I decided to jump back on the bandwagon. I started book '3' of my 'Sins Series'. 'Forgiven Sins' is in process. I'm so excited to tell you that Tony and Laura's story continues. For more info on the novel, see my sneak peeks.

I have more exciting news to share. After speaking with my husband and after intense research, I've found a Writing Conference that I can attend where I can pitch my books to 4 different editors from well known publishing companies. Come next June, I plan to have 'Forgiven Sins' finished, so that 3 out of my 5 books will be complete.

Well, I'm off to write. Thanks for checking in!

Adriana

June 22nd, 2011

Hello My Friends,

It's been an amazing 6 months! Spending time with my family is taking top priority, right now. All Matteo's and my efforts in raising our boys to be well rounded are paying off. All three of my babies, just finished school with straight A's! Mario, my 5th grader, had an outstanding report card with all A's in every subject, including accelerated math! Antonino, my 3rd grader, got 100% in every subject! And finally, my little Matteo, finished Kindergarten with flying colors. He is above average in reading! I am a proud Mama!

Meanwhile, while the boys are doing great, my in-laws are not. Taking care of them has become a full-time job for both my sister-in-law and I. Unfortunately, my hands have been so busy, doing the Lords work, caring for my family, that my career in writing has taken back burner, once again. I can't tell you how much I miss writing. What an outlet that usually is for me. Now, by the end of the evening, (my favorite time to write) I am zonked out! (I'm not as young as I used to be, you know!)

Yet, my mind is constantly on my books. Ideas continue to flow in for the third book. I ask the Lord every day, for a chance to start it. It must not be His will for me, yet!  But thank you for sticking with me . . . for checking in time to time. Please don't forget to drop me a blog. It always gives me such encouragement!

God bless you,

Adriana

January 25th, 2011

2011!  WoW! Can't believe we're already at the start of a new year. There is so much to tell--so much to share! I have obviously been very preoccupied with my wifely and motherly duties that I have not had a moments time to send out "Temptations". Unfortunately, I've had to put it on the back burner. Caring for my elderly in-laws, has truly put a kink in things as well. No more me time, it seems.  And since being a starving artist, leaves us literally starving, I took on a part-time job, just two days a week, to help out at home. This leaves me even less time to do what I wish I could do full-time . . . write. It makes me sad that I cannot do what I love most, but I have to trust that the Lord has a will for me. That He has a plan for me and my writings. Getting depressed about it, won't make it better, so I just keep trusting and believing God will work out all things for the greater good.

Meanwhile, just a week ago, out of the clear blue sky, a vision came to me. Suddenly, I couldn't put my pencil down and before I knew it, I had the entire outline for 'Forgiven Sins' (the third book in the 'Sins Series') all done. I'm very excited about it. As soon as I have a moments time, just an hour to myself a day, I will begin writing it. Since I cannot put forth the physical effort or the time to send my books out (Lord knows how much time it takes to prepare the queries, synopsis' etc.) I will continue to write. Sooner of later, something is bound to come forth from this. I have to believe that.

Until then, thank you so much for your continued support. If nothing else, I hope you enjoy reading 'My Thoughts and Perspectives' on this Website.

God Bless you!

Adriana

Just want to wish everyone a wonderful holiday season. May God richly bless each and everyone of you and grant you the desires of your heart.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Sincerely, Adriana

October 25th, 2010

I did it, folks! I was able to remove almost 18,000 unnecessary words from 'The Fathers' Sins'. I took it from a 147,000 word novel to 129,300 word novel. It came out great! Simple and to the point, yet it still gives the same punch and tells the same story without all the mumbo-jumbo. I've finally found niche. My own style.

Meanwhile, my friend Candace finished reviewing the book and with her help, my writing was edited. Thanks Candace!!! Now that 'Fathers' Sins' is nearly perfected and 'Temptation' is getting read by my wonderful sister Nella, who's really good at catching typos and errors, I'm on my way to rewriting the query letters. Joy! Joy! Joy!  Wish me luck . . . . I'm going to need it!

OH! and of course an extra special thank you to my two favorite cheerleaders, Josie and Maria, my nieces. They read both my books and give me so much encouragement to keep trying to get these baby's published. Love you, girls!

Happy Hauntings,

Adriana

September 13, 2010

Summer break is over! Reality has set in. It's time to get back to work. Family, friends and fans, it's nice to get back into the way of things. I took a few months off to work on a vacation home and spend time with my children, but now it's back to the grind. During the summer it was not all fun and games. I have been working on the 'Father's Sins', editing it with the help of my patient and giving friend Candace. I have been able to cut over 5000 unnecessary words and am still in the process. Combing over it has been quite a job, especially because I completed 'Temptation to Sin'. I need to make sure I cross every 't' and dot every 'i'. Can't leave any holes in my story, can I? Once I finally complete this task, then it's truly back to the grind. Submitting to agents is the true task.

Meanwhile, I have an outline for the third book in the 'Sin Series'. 'Forgiven Sins' probably won't get worked on for a while. But I have a start. Until I can get the first two near perfect, (don't despair Josie and Maria--I know they'll never be perfect) until I can get them to my liking, 'Forgiven Sins' will continue to brew in the back of my brain.

God's blessings to you!

Adriana

June 29th, 2010

Well folks, it finally happened. About 2 weeks ago, I finally completed 'Temptation to Sin'. I'm happy to report that I'm pleased with the way God helped me to wrap up the ending. I pray that it will be satisfactory to the readers and that it's everything they anticipate it should be. Now, I will be taking the next step and will start to work on the query letters and synopsis' so I can begin to submit my manuscript out.

Would you believe I already have the outline for book three 'Forgiven Sins' started? I'm so excited to start preparing for that book. I wish I had nothing better to do. I would sit and just think up plots for my stories and pray that they intrigue my readers.

For now, thanks for you continued support.

Whew! What a crazy couple of months! This house felt like a mad one. Between my computer crashing and my mother-in-law falling ill, I didn't know whether I was coming or going! Not to mention that we had more family functions in one month than most people have in a year--gasp! I needed a break. And so I took one. But not for long . . . it's back to the grind.

My mother-in-law is much better, the party's have somewhat ceased, but best of all, my computer is up and running in tip-top shape! And I'm loving it. I will finally be able to complete the long awaited ending of Temptations. (Hold your horses, Josie and Maria, my biggest fans.) Good things come to those who wait. These chapters need my undivided attention and I plan on giving them exactly that. I want them to be everything you anticipate they should be. So hang tight!

Thanks for tuning in on my latest updates . . .

Oh, I almost forgot: Happy Birthday today to my sister Nella, who's celebrating the big 4 0 and to my son Matteo--the big 5.

Yes, more parties on the way :} sigh!

Glad to be back, Adriana

Happy Spring!

Thanks for visiting my web site. I so appreciate your support. Keeping busy as usual. I'm almost finished with Temptation to Sin! I'm so excited because it is turning out so wonderful! I cannot even take the credit for it, because the Holy Spirit is pouring the words out for me! I plan to finish it by the end of this month. April will be pretty hairy between birthday parties and communions so I don't know how much time I'll have to write.

Meanwhile, I plan to sent Temptations out as well as Fathers' Sins. I'll have two books to distribute, doubling my chances, I hope!

I'm still taking that writing course and enjoying that. Learning a great deal bout 'hooking' in the reader. Interesting stuff!

Enjoy the warmer weather and thank the Good Lord for your blessings!

The Love Month,

This month, Matteo and I celebrated our 12 year wedding anniversary on the 20th, 16 years total together  on the 9th (okay, on and off  lol!) and of course Valentine's Day on the 14th. What an awesome feeling. We've made it through thick and thin and still love each other. That's rare! Anyway, God has blessed us with more than we could have ever expected. This month I'd just like to give God thanks and praise!

Meanwhile, the course I took has been very beneficial. The man teaching the class happens to be a Christian fiction author, William Creed. He has three novels (stories about the end times) selling at Borders and Barnes, amidst other stores. So far, I'm very impressed and cant' wait to complete it. Every bit of info helps.

No news yet on the agents I submitted to. It's just a waiting game now.

Thanks for checking in,

Adriana

Moving right along. Temptation is moving along smoothly. I've completed Ch. 10 and plan on completing #11 next week. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting to hear back from the agent in which I submitted the first manuscript to. This month, I took a course on Writing, Publishing and Selling your book. I look forward to the first class this Tuesday. I pray it will prove helpful and useful.

Once again, thanks for your continued support. God Bless!

Another year has come and gone. Time sure flies when you're having fun. Tempation is turning out to be a blast. I cannot tell you how much fun I am having putting this story together. God is planting idea's into my head at the strangest hours, but I am so thankful. I cannot wait to finish it. I will be starting chapter 8 next week. With the holidays, I had to take a little break (to my relunctance), but now I plan on concentrating my time on getting out Fathers' Sins to agents and continuing on Temptation.

As always, for those of you who peek in on my webpage from time to time, I thank you. The more hits to my site, the better. Your support is so appreciated.

Keeping you posted,

Adriana

 Dear Sins Series Fans,

Just wanted to drop a note to let you know how Temptation to Sin is progressing. I have been working on it daily. So far, I've completed the first six chapters and am so excited to tell you that God is truly helping me to make it everything I'd hoped it'd be and better. Laura and Tony are going to have to go through quite a bit to make it through all the trials and tribulations ahead. Meanwhile, I am still waiting to hear back on the proposals I've sent out. If by January I haven't heard anything, I will continue to submit. Thanks for your continued support. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

 December 1st, 2009

 Hello all,

With all the hustle and bustle of the holiday's to come, it seems everything has come to a screeching halt. The month of November was tough for me, but God has given me the strength to endure. So far, December has proven to be better. Today, I finally got a moment to work on 'Temptation to Sin' and I love the results. The story is coming together wonderfully, with God's loving hand, of course. Meanwhile, I do plan to submit more proposals. I have yet to hear from the ones I've submitted. God's will, all, God's will. Thanks for checking in.

Blessings, Adriana

Wew! Where has the year gone? Nov. 1st already. Wasn't it just Spring? Anyway, just thought I'd mention that I'm still working on submissions. I'm also revamping my first novel, touching it up here and there. Meanwhile, waiting to hear on the proposal's I've submitted. Until, I have some new news  . . . Ciao.

October 23, 2009

Another crazy week has come and gone. Just trying to keep up can sometimes be the biggest challenge, let alone trying to get a book published. The good news is, I went to my first writers meeting this week with the Rochester Writers Group and it was very informative. I'm learning so much. I also wanted to mention that I sent in my first proposal. It took me nearly 3 days to complete. Glad I got that done. I pray the agents consider my book. Lord knows I've worked so hard on it.  Well, thanks for keep in touch.

Tootles,

Adriana

October 14, 2009

I know it's been about a week since my last update, but my hands have been a bit tied with 7 children, 2 dogs and 1 husband under my care. I've been watching my sisters kids for a few days while she and her husband took a well-needed 4 day vacation.

Anyway, just so you know, I'm so excited, I've already submitted a few query letters to prospecting agents and am happy to announce that a couple are interested and want the synopsis of my book along with the first 3 chapters. Once the rest of my life calms down, I will send those out right away and pray someone will want to read the rest. Meanwhile, I've been talking to a few people and I'm trying to get the local papers interested in doing an interview with me. Well, God's will. Thanks for the continued prayers. Don't stop.

Thanks -- Love ya,

Adriana

Hello again,

Just thought I'd let you all know I've submitted my first novel for registration to copywrite. How exciting. Now, I can start contacting agents. Pray for me.

Rochester Writers Conference

Woo hoo! At last, I made it to my first Writing Conference. What an experience! It was wonderful meeting so many new people. Everyone with the same goal in common . . . to publicize their creations. I learned plenty of interesting info, (including how to create your own website--which is prominent in marketing yourself and in my case, my book) but also the conference comfirmed for me that I am on the right track to getting published. I just need to dedicate as much of my time to submitting my manuscript and keep in touch with the right people.

Speaking of 'the right people', the presenters of the sessions were awesome. The woman who encouraged me to go to the conference in the first place, Sandra Agazzi Chimenti, is a sweetheart. I would like to thank her for taking the time out to talk to me personally. She is an amazing motivational speaker. Thanks Sandra, for your wonderful advice and encouragement.

But who I really should be thanking for everything is . . . God. First, for putting the Italian Tribune in my hands, one evening while my family and I sat at Jet's Pizza waiting for our food. In the Tribune, I came across an article on Sandra, whom I then called. But God had alterior motives for wanting me there.

As some of you already know, my second novel goes into further depth on one of my main characters. We find that he has emotional and mental issues, due to the abuse he endures as a child. Therefore, I have been doing immense research on this subject. Leading back to why God wanted me there; who is the keynote speaker at the conference? None other then Chip St. Clair--a well-known speaker and author of 'The Butterfly Garden'.

He spoke to us about his life and the child abuse he endured at the hands of his father; a man whose name was on the top 10 Most Wanted list in America.  What an amazing God! To bring me to this place where this humble and kind man would spill his darkest secrets to put a stop to child abuse.

I felt honored to have him autograph a copy of his memoir for me. (Which by the way, I finished it in two short days -- it was so compelling.)

Anyway, I hope to continue learning from folks like these. Chip and Lisa will be in my prayers.  Ta-ta for now.

Special Thanks

To my Lord and Savior, for giving me this dream.

Lord, may I serve you and use this gift to glorify you.

I love you.
